Training weekends from the UKFA
Need to brush up on your techniques or tactics?
Want to learn from some of the very best in the business?
Is it time to climb the fleet and improve your results?
Then this could be the opportunity for you.
Once again the Class Association has arranged for 2 weekend training camps for the 2013 season. The sessions are designed for everyone and they will be held over 2 weekends in April and June.
On the weekend of April 6/7 the Alton Water Reservoir in Ipswich will host the 1st training camp, with Mark Rushall delivering a 'not to be missed' tactical training weekend. Mark is the author of RYA Tactics, an Olympic sailing coach and an International and National Champion in many dinghy and sports boat classes, including Larks, 1720 and Laser 5000. Camping will be available at the country park for entrants.
There is another weekend arranged for June 15/16 at Castle Cove SC in Weymouth. Following the great success of previous training weekends, Adam Bowers will be returning to run a two day sea training camp. Adam is a former Fireball World Champion, multi National winner and the RYA National Cadet Coach and the association is delighted he can join us again to impart his impressive knowledge.
The entry fees for the 2 camps are yet to be finalised, but the class association will be subsiding the cost to make this as affordable as possible for members.
