Hello

I would like to tapper my Spinnaker Halyard, in the hope it will run through my blocks better. Has anyone already done this if so, what parts of the halyard have you tapered and how thin have you gone? I was thinking of tapering the spinnaker end, where it runs into the mast and then at the pump end, would this be a good idea? 

Any help or comments would be great. 

Just replace the whole thing with a 4mm halyard. Probably a lot cheaper than tapering.

I've got 4mm Excel pro at the minute. Its newish rope so may need some wearing in. I added an extra purchase the other day, works a lot better now.
