John Caig, the 1969 and 1971 UK Fireball National Champion and 1970 & 1971 World Champion has recently been in touch, letting us know the following:
This very old film of the 1970 Fireball World Championship has been given a new lease of life.
A BBC engineer kindly had the 16mm film transferred to digital. Unfortunately this film has deteriorated significantly over the years rendering the colours suffering badly. However the resolution is just so much better than the existing digital colour version I thought it worth sending out again.
