Five Fireballs including locals Steve Gaughan and Martin Golden from the home club took part in the Lord Birkett Trophy at Ullswater YC. Locals Lester and Lee Noble won both races to take the trophy�from a record field of 217 entries. The light conditions of the weekend didn't ideally suit the Fireballs on handicap, Keith Caush and Jane Bowles of Scaling Dam SC were first Fireball in 43rd overall.
If you like long races with big courses, this is an event for next years calendar.
