News / Richard Estaugh funeral arrangements

As many of you will already know Richard Estaugh passed away on Saturday evening. Richard was one of the best known and most successful dinghy sailors this country has seen and he will be sorely missed. As well as being a keen sailor he also set up and ran Speed Sails for over 25 years helping thousands of others within the sport. Richard won the Fireball World Championships in 2007 at Lake Silvaplana in Switzerland after many attempts dramatically taking victory in the last race.

Out of respect for Richard’s wishes his family have requested that people don’t send flowers but hope they will consider making a donation to sail4cancer or the RNLI instead.

  • The service will be held at All Saints Parish Church in Four Oaks on Tuesday 21st April at 13:45.
