Online Entry is now open for the 50th Fireball National Championships, to be held between the 11th and 17th August. The event is hosted by Penzance Sailing club. Racing will take place in the superb sailing area of Mount's Bay.
The event is expected to see a large turnout from Fireballers of all ages, with some old names from the past returning, along with new faces all battling to be top dog. We will be working closely with Penzance Sailing Club to make sure you the competitors have a fantastic week. Entry fees will start from just £99 for those sailing Classic Fireballs or for teams where both sailors are both 26. Now that’s a great deal! Your committee have worked hard at work putting together what we believe will be a amazing championship, both on and off the water with just the right blend of sailing and socials, a veritable festival of fireballing!
On the water everyone races as one fleet. Off the water results are divided into Gold, Silver and Bronze Fleets so that everyone has something to race for. In addition there are category prizes for Classic Fireballs, Youth sailors, Lady Helm & Lady Crew Novice Helm and Crew and much more. Plus there are individual race trophies for the ten races. We will also be buddying up people for the week to share knowledge and experiences. So if you have never been to a National Championships before now is your chance.
