| EVENT INFORMATION: Entry is Open!!! The Officers and members of Brightlingsea Sailing Club look forward to welcoming the Fireball fleet for their Gul National Championships over the Jubilee bank holiday weekend of 2 to 5 June 2022. The club has set up an event website from which you can access the NOR and enter, as well as find out about the social programme, accommodation and things to do if you're not racing.
FI boat Stickers - Pre-entered Nationals competitors will be given their stickers at the event. The remaining stickers will be posted out to members. We have a record of all members so can check if you're a lost minute entry and haven't received your sticker.
AGM - The annual AGM will be held Saturday 4th June at BSC. The agenda is here:
Apologies for the late publication of the agenda. COMPETITOR UPDATE From Paul Jackson - Regatta Race Officer
For this event we are using the Racing Rules of Sailing web app to assist us with the management of the racing and jury process. In the sailing instructions we describe what the sailor needs to do to submit a crew substitution or to file a protest. You can download the app* from here, https://www.racingrulesofsailing.org/ or from the Apple or Google Apps stores. This will then allow you to follow the event and file any documents directly from your phone. If you have any problems or do not have internet access, please come to the race office and we will be happy to help. Our experience is people do pick it up quite quickly but please don't struggle. Sailors will not be able to access the event until after entry has closed. * Note if when you open the app, you just get a blank white screen, power your phone off and turn on again, and it should work. Then tap Select Event. The Nationals should appear in the drop down list by the start of the regatta.
