I have a new main sail which came with the boat the previous owner thinks it is flat, but when it is on the boat looks very full. Its a P&B Dacron main. I have looked for labels etc on the sail bag but found nothing. Tweet |

I know small and large spinnakers differ, but don't have the experience of measuring different types of mains. It will also depend on your rig set-up and how far on you pull controls etc. - do you have anything to compare it to? Tweet |

He was right, it looks very flat when on the boat even before comparing it to the latest P&B cut main that I have subsequently purchased. The differences are very clear to see.
