Earlier today the UK Fireball Association was delighted to accept The Toby Hamer Memorial Trophy from Dave Dobrijevic on behalf of Dynamic Sailmakers.
Toby had a strong connection with Dynamic Sailmakers. He worked at the loft for a few years (while still studying and generally being very busy with numerous outdoor sports!) and learnt how to build sails for many classes including, of course, Fireball.
We are all still shocked that Toby is no longer with us but this permanent trophy, to be awarded at the Nationals to a youth sailor showing the enthusiasm and general joie de vivre that characterised his life, will ensure he is never forgotten.
