Fireball Training Weekend 23/24th April
The Class Association organised training weekend in April promises to be unmissable if you want to improve your results this year.
It's probably fair to say that most of us spend too much time racing and not enough time practicing or training, so the association has organised some top training with some highly succesful sailors over the weekend of the 23rd and 24th of April at Datchet Water Sailing Club (Junc 5 M4, Junc 14 M25)
Vince Horey, former European, National and Inland Champion will be leading the training and as a multi championship winning veteran helm he knows his onions. He will be assisted over the weekend by Richard Anderton the current World and National Champion Crew, so we have all bases covered. These guys know Fireball better than anyone out there.
The training will consist of 2 days of classroom, boat park and on the water training and will aim to improve your skills in preparation for the upcoming season. With video review and debrief sessions planned daily.
The cost of £50 per boat for the weekend is a break even price if we get 15 boats to attend and for the level of instruction offered is a bargain.
If you haven't been to Datchet for a while you will be pleasantly surprised. The Clubhouse has been redesigned with new changing rooms and showers plus a redesigned wet bar and various training rooms with modern AV equipment. There is even a decent chandlery on site.
Pre registration is essential.
Don't miss it!
