James and Dan Ellis have been selected to sail the class owned Winder Fireball for the 2012 season. The brothers having sailed together sucessfully in a variety of boats including the Mirror and 420. The Plymouth based brothers will be competing at a number of open meetings during the season and at the 50th Anniversary National Championships at Penzance in August.
Commenting on the selection process Class Chairman Tim Saunders said "We had an excellent standard of applicants and it was a difficult decision, We look forward to seeing James and Dan and at events this season. For those who missed out this time, we will be running the Class Fireball offer again next season"
At the the official handover 15080 to the Ellis brothers tuning and sailing advice was provided by Dave Wade, 2 times Fireball National Champion, Sailloft manager at Pinnell & Bax who have supplied the sails in conjunction with Contender Sailcloth.
