This year we run our 31st Grafham Grand Prix – a hardy annual event for the hardiest! The GGP takes place this year on Bank Holiday Monday January 2nd – perfectly planned allow you to get over your New Year's Eve party hangover. Many classes are including it in their winter series and it is the first of the 2012 Sailjuice Global Warm Up (SGWU) series of 5 winter opens at big inland reservoirs so why not enter the Series? This year, in common with other SGWU events, we are using a revised set of event handicaps for the event which are designed to give more classes a fair chance of victory. Full details are on the NoR.
Entry is open to all monohulls with handicaps 645 to 1150, (single handers to 1205) and to catamarans from handicaps 640 to 1000.
There will be four starts as follows:
The Foiling Moths and Foiling RS600s will start with the Fast Asymmetrics Fleet but will race as a separate, foiling handicap fleet and be awarded separate prizes. Similarly if we get 8 or more entries of any class or group of Catamarans they will also get separate prizes.
