Fireballs at the Steve Nicolson Trophy

A quality fleet of 11 Fireballs including 3 local boats turned out for this popular annual event in aid of Asthma Research. The event took £2902.11 for the charity Asthma Research UK. The relaxed two race format gives plenty of time for banter at lunch and after racing.

It was a chilly but sunny day with light winds which made for hard work on handicap but there was still some excellent racing to be had. On the race course it was Chips Howarth and Vyv Townend who proved to be the best boat on the day leading both races in the 'Fireball Fleet', sailing the newest fireball currently in existence. 15013 proved to be fast straight off the production line.
