| It's a spinnaker sheet takeaway system that the crew can use when sat on the sidedeck. Saves the helm from bothering once the kite has been dropped. Not our boat, it belongs to Martin Peculier from France. |

| 14574 has a similar take up system for the spinnaker sheets after dropping the kite. The difference in my boat is that the take up rope is taken forward to the jib car moulding turned towards the plate box then turned again back to the aft end of the plate box where it comes up through one of the cleat positions on the port side. | |
