Event Details
For this years training weekend we've been lucky enough to secure the services of former top Fireball sailor and award winning coach Mark Rushall. Mark will lead the weekend, with assistance from other experienced Fireball sailors. The training weekend is open to anyone in the fleet and will benefit anyone from those first setting out in the Fireball in club racing right up to front of the fleet sailors looking for that extra "edge" at this year's national championships. Maybe you want to master your boat handling techniques, find a way of ensuring you always get the best start, or wonder what the race winners do differently to gain that extra pace. All these, and many other topics will be covered during the weekend.
The training weekend will again be held at the centrally located Draycote Water, and there will be an evening social event on the Saturday night. Camping will be available for those hardy ones, and there are plenty of B&Bs nearby for those who prefer a real bed.
With such a well respected coach running the weekend, we expect this event will be very popular. In order to ensure that the quality of the training isn't "watered down" by having too many boats, places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. To secure your place, please email Ian Priest to let him know you plan to attend, and also complete the attached entry form and post it off with your cheque. Once we have your entry, we will send you a questionaire asking for your aims for the weekend. This information is very useful to us as it enables the weekend to be best tailored to everybody's needs.
